Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH)
Your BAH will be used in one of two ways. You can either rent on base or you can live off base. If you live off base, you can either rent or buy. Click Here for current BAH rates.
On Base Housing ( Rent On-Base )
You can contact the housing office at 405-734-2821. Please keep in mind that there is a process involved in renting on Base housing to include wait times.

Tinker Air Force Base is home to the 72nd Air Force Wing which provides support for the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center. The Air Force Materiel Command’s Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center also calls Tinker Air Force Base home and manages a large number of engines, missiles, aircraft, and software components. Nearby communities include Oklahoma City, Norman, and Midwest City. The newly constructed Tinker Aerospace Complex will be completed shortly on-site. Properties at Tinker Air Force Base are privatized and operated by Tinker Family Military Housing. When construction and renovation is complete, on-base housing will offer over 600 new family units. Upon arrival, military personnel need to contact the Tinker Housing Referral Office at 405-734-2821 or contact the Balfour Beatty Communities Office at #406-610-3637. For off-post housing information, homes for sale or rent and apartment complexes, contact the Tinker Housing Referral Office. The office can also determine what BAH rate a soldier qualifies for to help cover rent and some utilities if living off post.
The Indian Hills Inn provides those waiting for a more permanent residence a temporary place to live until a property becomes available. Reservations are taken 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and usually 14 nights of lodging is initially approved for a temporary stay. Tinker Air Force Base also has FamCamp facilities which is operated year-round and provides sewer, water, and electrical hookups as well as shower facilities for those arriving with a recreational vehicle or trailer. The Mid-Del School System provides education for children from K-6. The Family Support Center’s Relocation Assistance program helps families transitioning to a new location with information on the school districts in each area. Adult education is provided through the Base Education Services Center which offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Tuition assistance is also available to military families based on eligibility for on-base of off-base educational needs.
