The Arts District of Oklahoma City is where they keep the art, artists, and performers, and also the police and courts. Seriously, though, there are more than the average number of galleries, and a number of performing venues, and is right around the corner from the Myriad Gardens and police headquarters. The other arts district in town is on the north end of The Paseo, where the avant-garde are stationed.

The Oklahoma City Ballet plays at the Civic Center Music Hall, and has been a major focus of dance in the Midwest for over thirty years. This ballet company was partly formed by one of America's first prima ballerinas, Maria Tallchief, also the first American Indian prima ballerina. The Ballet has regular performances, and an educational program for dance students.

The Civic Center Music Hall is home to seven companies, including the Oklahoma City Ballet, OKC Theater, OKC Philharmonic, a choral society, and three stage companies.

The Oklahoma State Fair is in held Oklahoma City, in September, and has everything you want in a State Fair, from rides to food to vendors to music to livestock shows.

The Oklahoma City Arts Council puts on the Festival of the Arts and provides arts education in OK City.

The Oklahoma City Museum of Art has a large collection of various art for exhibition, and provides educational programming for adults and children, including a Tiny Tuesday program for kids 2-5 years.
